Bio Pure Ken Series Water Dispenser/Filter

About ELKEN BIO PURE

1. Does Elken Bio Pure use up a lot of water and add to my water bill?
Absolutely not. In virtually all cases, it will add literally less than USD$1 per month to the average water bill.

2. How much water will be purged out (‘rinse' water) in order to produce 1 liter of pure water?
To produce 1 litre of water, 3 litres of water are rinsed out. Although it seems like a large portion of water usage versus the water produced, the chart below shows the cost of rinse water daily/monthly. If you wish, you may also collect the rinse water for other purposes like washing the laundry, watering the garden etc.

Water Produced by Elken Bio Pure Rinse Water Cost of Water*
1 Day: 10 litres 30 liters 1,000 litres = RM0.57
30 litres = RM0.017
1 Month: 300 litres 900 liters 900 litres = RM0.52

* According to current Syabas water bill rates for the first 20 cubic meters

3. What differentiates Elken Bio Pure from the rest?
Not only does Elken Bio Pure use reverse osmosis, the best type of technology available, it has also been awarded the WQA Gold Seal, one of the most prestigious seals for quality and performance. In fact, Elken Bio Pure is the only membrane-based system awarded the S-300 Gold Seal in Asia, one of only 3 recipients worldwide.

In addition, Elken Bio Pure was also bestowed the Reader's Digest Gold Trusted Brand Awards (Malaysia) for its trustworthiness and value for money as well as a medal at the Geneva International Exhibitions of Inventions for its innovativeness. More than 1,000,000 satisfied users enjoy pure water and better health with Bio Pure RO water!

4. What are other technologies used out there and how do they compare to Elken Bio Pure?
There are numerous treatment methods being used today, including activated carbon, ultraviolet light and RO membrane purification technology.

Activated carbon combined with ultraviolet light is effective in removing organic chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides, and biological pollutants such as bacteria and viruses but it is ineffective in removing inorganic contaminants such as total dissolved solids (like nitrates and arsenic) and heavy metals such as lead and cadmium.

The RO membrane in combination with activated carbon removes virtually all contaminants including inorganic minerals, chlorine and disinfection by-products.

Elken Bio Pure uses both activated carbon and RO membrane.

5. What about its after-sales service?
The company's after-sales service teams are ISO-certified with more than 120 technicians, 100 service vehicles and 15 service centres. They also provide warranties on the service and genuine spare parts.
